Headphone volume discrepancies

Hey everyone,

Has anyone else noticed a major difference in notification volume and media playback volume particularly when using a headset? I'll be listening to a podcast at normal volume (about 13/30) and I'll get a text notification that nearly blows out my eardrums. Just me? Any ideas? Thanks!

(I'd note that I'm not using the earbuds that came with the phone since I already had a pair that I liked...dunno if that makes a difference.)

Hmm, is this on your Lumia 710 or your Radar? My wife has the 710 and she's never mentioned this to me. The headphones you use should not matter in the least.
