Headphones Thread!

I'm not really an audiophile so I usually just stick with Sony headphones. For the price you are paying they usually have a great sound

I am just now starting to look for an inexpensive set. I listen to enough music and podcasts that the ear buds things are just not cutting it. Seems Sony headphones are brought up a lot (Big Paddy smiles @ Sony props). Any other thoughts?

Got a refund for the Medis and bought a Westone UM1...

What type of music do you listen to & what the max amount of dollars are you willing to spend?

I listen to the harder style rock (not really metal), some blues (like Kenny Wayne Shepard and Stevie Ray Vaughan), and like I said- a whole ton of podcasts. Some of those podcasts audio are not as great as you would think they would be.

As for money, I would have a hard time dropping more then 40 dollar-ish on a set of headphones. I would LOVE to spend more, but I am cheapskate at heart and couldn't do it when I know it should be spent somewhere else.

Here you go these my SONY MDRXB30EX Extra Bass in-ear headphones and they are great:

Sony MDRXB30EX Extra Bass In-Ear Headphones - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Only ?19.99 and I paid at least ?37 for them!

Speaking on Sony's, these are the ones that I use

MDREX58VRED - nothing fancy just a volume control is all, really good sound, bass is not over the top, treble little high sometimes, mid range sound great

Ooo I can get in on this topic, as I just recently purchased my first pair of decent head phones. I didn't want to go too overboard so I picked up a pair of SONY MDR-XB600. Definitely worth it. The bass really thumps and the high's don't get muddled out. Very clear and crisp when needed to be, but also boomy, when needed.WP_20131103_17_02_18_Pro.jpg

Are they full aluminium build or is the top part plastic?

I use koss portapros. Punchy bass, great middles and comfortingly high range. But if you are looking for Bluetooth or NFC enabled, I have no idea.

@snowmutt... Could you possibly try out the porta pros? Benn using them for almost a year and damn, It still is pretty good.

Folds to a call shape, have attached a pic, with my palm to show how small it can be folded.

Hi, I have same headphones and i haven't had opportunity to try those with any WP. Recently I am using HTC one x and the headphones work perfect. I am planing to switch to WP and waiting for new lumia 930. Will MDR-1RBT work with lumia 930 (or Lumia ICON as known in the states)?
I have a set of Beats Pro's. To be honest, i don't think my 920 is powerful enough for them. Kind of wish Nokia whacked a headphone amp into their phones like HTC did with the 8X.

Also got a set of Sony MDR-1RBT bluetooth headphones, which are very expensive, but sound awesome, and work well with WP. Only problem is i'm now soo used to not having wires, and being able to change tracks with my headphones, that my wired Beats Pro's seem very cumbersome.

Gonna buy ath m50x . The best headphones oft out want to spend 150$ . Check mkbhd review on YouTube or amazon reviews

Whoa didn't realise the M50x is out. I've had the M50s on my wish list for the longest time but never got them. Definitely going to keep an eye out on these. If you get them would be awesome if you post back ;)

I use the in ear purity pros by Nokia . I would recommend any windows phone use to try them out . :)
