First time browser on this site, was in vzw yesterday and my wife and I checked out the 8x and 928, also the i5. Sheer liked the size of the 8x and I like the 928 better. Hope to find some good comparisons and tips here. Never had a windows phone before. Started with BlackBerry and currently on sg3.

Suggestions?

928 I hear is an excellent choice and the 8X (for me) is a little low on internal memory. I don't know if it's expandable or not.

It also depends on what your personally needs are. 928 is an overall superb choice. Office on the go is great thing on Windows Phone and free! SkyDrive integration (from what I've heard) is much better than Apple iCloud.

If you don't mind answering, what are your specific needs in a mobile device?

Messaging my wife, social feeds and great camera not to mention a great keyboard. Those are my main top priorities.

I recommend getting the 928. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I love it. Keyboard is great, camera is great and pinning the live tiles for social media on your home screen gives you the information you need. Its a great phone and I don't regret switching to windows phone.

I had the galaxy nexus. I was tired of the terrible battery life and it restarting on me all the time.

I've had good battery with my sg3. Mainly just want a great keyboard and great camera as I have a 2 year old and one due in August.

Welcome aboard that_maynard it's great to have you here:smile: as you may not know yet but the 928 from Verizon is now $49.00 w/ 2 year contract was showed here at WP central yesterday.
