Help - my phone is saying update available, but Connector on computer isn't working

So I have an HD7S, and it has notified me an update is available. I plug it into Windows PHone connector for Mac, and then nothing. The Connector isn't registering that an update is available, it's not giving me instructions to move forward.

Ideas?

get a PC! lol

- make sure your * Windows Phone connector for Mac* is up to date.

- make sure your phone inst recognized as a secondary phone or something.. make sure its PRIMARY ,
(i had that problem. nothing was syncing properly and updates dint come up )

I simply connected the device to a different machine (another Mac) and it's working fine. I thanked you all the same.
