[HELP] Office 365 subscription?

Planning to buy 2 windows tablets one for my father and another for me.I was informed that you get office 365 free for one year for both the tablets(Lenovo,dell). So will I get 2 years of office 365 or just one year when I validate windows using my MS account(will be a few days gap for activating one after the other).

I year each device... If you activate for Tablet #1 on your Microsoft Account you can share that with (I think) up to 4 more devices.

Would your father not have his own Microsoft Account? He could activate on Tablet #2 and share the 365 subscription with his PC/Laptop or whatever...

What would probably happen otherwise is the unused one will expire if not activated in a certain amount of time after purchase.

So no benefit of activating it if we have multiple devices.all my father has a 15 years old pc which now got damaged so planned to get him a windows convertible or detachable.even he got no use of unlimited storage,Skype,other than excel and word he doesn't use anything.
