Does anybody with a Lumia 800 fancy doing a small test for me?

Could you test whether your proximity sensor works in the dark during a call and post your results here (ie. whether the screen goes off or stays on)? It doesn't matter whether you put the phone to your face or cover the sensor with your finger. Don't use the diagnostics app, make sure it's during a call.

Hadn't really considered that it wouldn't work!

Cheers, mine doesn't. But oddly enough, the proximity test in the diagnostics app works from regardless of the lighting.

Will need to take a trip to a Nokia care point, then.
