Help with Resetting my HTC 8S?

I am having problems with resetting my HTC 8S :crying: when my phone restarts and goes into the gear thingy it makes no progress on the bar and my phone returns to its same and previous state. Can someone help me ? The same thing happened when I tried to install windows 8.1 :unhappysweat:

Did you out of battery when you tried to install 8.1? The most common fix for this type of thing is to let your battery run dry, then with it hooked up to power, press the volume down and power button simultaneously for about 15 seconds or until you feel a vibration. Then wait and the phone should reset itself. Let us know if this doesn't work.

You can try a hard reset, I had this problem already on my 8X.
All your data will be lost with this!! Unfortunately it's the only way to repair....

1. Power your phone off
2. Press and hold Power + vol down together
3. An exclamation mark should appear on the screen
4. Press the following buttons in this sequence: Vol Up, Vol Down, Power, Vol Down

Nah,it still didn't work should I give it back to the retailers
