Help with tethering via Wireless Hosted Network

So I have been trying to get my Surface 3 (Win10) to start a wireless hosted network so that I can tether with my 1520, however, every time I try I receive an error message about an attached device not functioning.

Has anyone successfully been able to use a wireless hosted network to tether their Surface 3. If so, could you please check and let me know which wireless adapter driver you are using or any steps you had to take to get it to work?
