hi i have a nokia lumia 1520 with win10m and im not getting any txt notification

hi i have a nokia lumia 1520 running the full version of win10m now my problem is when ppl send me txt msg i dont get any notification the msg just goes thru, so i can read what ppl txt me but theres no msg sound and the icon on the home page doesn't show that a msg has come thru....any help would be great

go to settings > system > notifications and check if notifications for messaging is enabled
Secondly, go to settings > system > battery saver > battery use > change background app settings. enable messaging to run in background
