hi new microsoft band 2 notification problems

hi folks ....

I got my band on uk release day . id been waiting for it for a while .. bluetooth is clearly working at microsoft health updates all the time for runs and sleep etc .. however other notifications from apps such as facebook or text message are more or less .. sporadic .. for example i get facebook messages randomly .. but then the conversation stops .... ive had text messages .. but they also stop .. ive paired and unpaired my band and reset it to factory settings.

The only thing I can think of is that my phone is an Android Honor 6 plus which uses a custom android version .. which might be the problem .. any ideas ?? as the band is recieving some notifications .. im not sure its the blame although as its new things are never great at release

just checked the band is a samsung galaxy note 2 .. notifications still not coming through from facebook .. so its clearly not the phone .. could it be a setting within facebook itself (the app messenger??) can anyone let me know .. thanks

update : im not sure what the problem is .. i do get sporadic messages from facebook to the band, but i find it hard to believe the band is faulty as other people are having problems .. would anyone recommend taking this back as faulty .. all i want is the notifications to work .. the notifications are very random

update 2: just got an email from edmondo .. but all facebook messenger messages are not coming through, could it be privacy settings ? do we have a facebook expert on board ?

im putting this for a warranty replacement .. im unable to get any answers re: this problem . random sporadic messages are not normal ... im going to get it looked at
