High Data Usage

Is anyone else having high data usage issues? I never use more than 1.5 gb in a month and in 2 weeks this month I used 2gb under normal usage. ATT automatically added additional gb and a few days into that extra gb I've already used 700 mb. Since ATT stripped data sense I have no idea what's causing it

i'm stuck in a dinky 300 MB plan with a reflashed 920 so I get to watch data usage, but nothing ridiculous happening, at least to me...

could've been something like you thought you were on Wi-Fi ( or it dun goofed), a new application, etc.

Yeah, happened to my wife. My wife is on my family plan on AT&T. She normally stays within her 200MB plan. Then last weekend, when she was streaming a movie on Netflix on her Note 2, she used over 600MB in one night. She got the warning emails from AT&T and checked data usage on her phone and it was Netflix. She was at home on WiFi and said she confirmed WiFi was running. No real explanation for cause except a possibility is WiFi dropped out and phone switched into data during the movie? Maybe Netflix issue? I dunno.

In any case, I called AT&T and pleaded my case and got the data charges reversed. HTH!

I determined in my case it was the beta for the upcoming Weave News update. Once I removed it, data usage dropped to normal levels

I had this issue happen once with my 920. On my third day of my plan month, I had gone over 1 GB of my 2 GB data plan. I never did figure it out, but it never happened again.

It's more than likely going to be Apps, almost all the time. Have to pay attention to what you install and how you set it up to run in the background. This is also not the first time I've heard of someone streaming on Wifi while it ran up their cell data usage. If you're concerned with data usage, I'd make a habit of turning off Network Data while streaming.
