Been almost a year since I brought this thread to life and now I have some info. I purchased one of these: Nokia Lumia 1520 Leather Case / Cover (Handmade Genuine Leather) - Horizontal Pouch Type (Black) by Pdair and it has been going pretty well until somehow I managed to tear one of the sides.

Somehow. I can't recall how it happened but it seemed to rip all the way to that last thread at once instead of little by little.

I'm considering getting another one because the elastic on the sides, while tough, did eventually stretch to fit the phone and it's hard case rather comfortably (even if the snap didn't close).

So, any suggestions since then?

I've special-ordered the "Answer 400" case from SIMPLE.BE and it's in transit right now.

I am alternating between the Incipio PMA case and the JKASE Diablo/Amzer case that you linked - so I had to provide measurements of my phone with the case so they could custom-design the holster for me.

It's $29 USD though - so it's definitely the biggest cost required for the phone, but to be honest, my pockets aren't big enough for the 1520.

Once I get it, I'll post pictures with my initial review.

>>> unfortunately, I can't link anything right now since my post count is below 10, but I think you can figure out what I'm pointing to.

...so I've found that most "hip cases" or holsters sit too high on my waist/belt. The SIMPLE.BE case that I referred to (and Zero Serenity linked to) to sits a little lower, which in my opinion, is a bit easier to deal with based on the clothes that I wear.

The Pdair sat really low, which means I could forget about it when my seat belt was on and it wasn't going to bother me at all.

As for sfbags, I'm a bit skeptical. At the price they're asking I think I would just buy another Pdair.

Hopefully you are already married because women HATE belt clip holders for cell phones. It's kind of like having a pocket protector or a fanny pack. Very Dorky. No offence.

But to your earlier comment, do not buy the JKase DIABLO case! That was my first case. The first time I dropped the phone the entire screen shattered. I had to pay $200 to get it repaired. It was a nightmare for a while. Good luck.

Omg. I have both the jkase Diablo case and I'll soon have a hip case. It looks like I may as well become a eunuch.

Whatevs. To each their own. I never realized that style and attracting the opposite sex (or same sex) was so important when it came to phones and carrying them...
