Does anybody know how many devices can run at the same time while in hotspot mode?

Also, does anybody know if the phone can be used (web surfing, I assume phone will work) while in hotspot mode?

I'm thinking of coming back to Windows as my daily driver and the hotspot capability is the determining factor.

Thanks in advance.

I know for sure that you can browse and use the phone normally while hotspot is on. Speed might be reduced as you're sharing your connection/bandwidth with others

Thanks this is encouraging. Note if I can be sure I can hotspot more than one device at a time. My ZTE Zmax (Android) is able to handle up to 8 devices with its hotspot. I won't need that many but the devices would be the minimum.

I think 8 is the standard

Have you had any issues with yours?

I haven't used mine in 3 months, so I can't really say anything that is current. People did report a few months back that hotspot would go off when the screen goes off but haven't heard of that recently

Old thread, but I started using my Fierce xl for a while. T-Mobile 10 gig hotspot feature works great. I-pad speed test tethered is 25 down 10 up. Stays locked in no problem through my entire lunch break about 40 feet from where my phone lies.
