How are most Nokia Phones with reception?

My reception has been great, in NoVA. It seems better than what I was getting from my iPhone too.

No history with Nokia, but not impressed with my 920's reception. When I go to the usual conference room for privacy that I have used with my iPhone 4 many times, I get a very weak signal and repeatedly dropped calls. This is on the 15th floor of a downtown Houston building. A call to ATT and a reboot got me 5 bars in that spot but a day later if was dropping calls again. WIFI reception on the otherhand seems MUCH better than the iPhone.

I don't think I've had more than three bars on my phone since I've bought it. Also while streaming video on my WIFI which has a full signal I get nothing but lag and every 10 to 15 seconds the video stops to load. It is driving me crazy and I don't think that is normal.

Good to know other ares experiencing this, I'm going to be returning it for another unit tomorrow.

Replaced my samsung galaxy note with the Lumia 920. I noticed both the voice and data reception is better with the 920. I usually talk on the phone while commuting to/from work, and there's a point in my commute that would make my calls to drop when I was using the galaxy note. Now with my 920 my calls didn't drop the whole way of my commute, its pretty clear the 920 was the reason for this. Also I noticed I get data in places I wasn't able to before, I guess voice and data is the same thing, so overall reception is just better.

Like I said about Nokia's call quality. Their signal reception is also better than anything I have had including Motorola, HTC, Apple, Samsung and LG.

Reception is tough to judge. I think various phones report reception differently. Some will shoe one bat while others will show three. That doesn't mean the one with more bars has better reception. For the most part placed I have reception on other phones I also have reception with the Lumia. Places o don't get reception on other phones I also do not get on the Lumia.
