how can i be added to my new windows 10 ;HP laptop with my daughter as administrator/

I recently purchased an HP laptop for personal use for my 17 year old daughter and myself for home and school. My daughter created herself as administrator without adding or allowing me to be added easily. I have not been able to use my correct password for setting myself into the family administrator section as my correct password or PIN isn't being recognized. How can I get this issue fixed in order to have access quickly to our laptop thank you.
