WiFi & 1520

I have a 1520 unlocked and experiencing Wi-Fi connections . It is frustrating . It connects to my home network all the time . But when I am in public it is a hit and miss . The signal is there like at Macy's but it can not connect . However, if I turn off the phone and on then it connects .

anyone having this problem and do I need to make some sort of adjustments
Thanks

Sounds like you have NO problem ...

WHY would you want to connect to an open network?

Sometimes I have the same problem; the workaround is to turn on airplane mode, connect to Wi-Fi and then turn off airplane mode. It's pain in the neck but it works for me.

Turn off wifi sense and see what that does for you.

I had this issue as well a long while back. If turning off WiFi Sense does not fix it, the only way I was able to get it back to normal was to wipe and reset. Be sure to NOT turn on WiFi Sense.

Yeah a soft reset does it for me. I have three 1520s (different RMs) and they are all finicky with WiFi (WiFi Sense on for all of them). On the ones with 8.1 GDR2, the issue is much improved (Denim seems the worst). I've also read that by using Windows Phone Recovery on your PC to reflash it, the problem can go away. Haven't tried that yet since it's much better on GDR2 now.
