How can I make pinned-to-taskbar stuff open from its own taskbar icon and not from Chrome?

I have nicely pinned all my key stuff (Google Calendar, Gmail, google maps, etc. to the Win10 taskbar, but everything I open opens in Chrome.
If I click my iTunes taskbar-icon then iTunes opens and its taskbar-icon brightens and a little blue bar appears on its taskbar's bottom edge--iTunes opens FROM the iTunes icon.
If I click Google Calendar, G-mail, maps, etc., these icons remain black, and all this opened windows just stack up in Chrome very messily.
The intention was to have them open in Chrome but FROM their taskbar-icon, so they're nice and neat and separate and always right there conveniently.
How can I make pinned-to-taskbar stuff open from its own taskbar icon and not from Chrome?
