how can i take notes on a powerpoint or pdf

I would like to take notes with the web notes option on a file i saved but it says that web notes is not available at that time

I am assuming you are talking about Edge on PC? The webnotes option is only available to make notes on a webpage itself afaik

if you want to take notes in powerpoint, there is a section for notes at the bottom of a slide
And you can use adobe acrobat for making notes in pdf files
