How can i Unlock xBox 360 2014 Version?

Hi Guys, I am new to xBox, my couson bro sent me an xbox 360's latest model which i 2014 and i am living in ASIA. I can't play games on it and took it to a shop and that guy told me that he will unlock it in $120. I am confused, am i supposed to pay that person $120? is that person saying truth to me? or he is making me fool? plz help.:eck:

Search for XBOX 360 Region Locked games and you'll see what you can and cannot play on your 360.

I would check out playasia.com. They have an extensive list of what is region locked and what is not. You may be surprised at what isn't.
