how come L630 more smoother than 8x?

ok my mom got L630, and i have to say wow, wp8.1 is really smooth than my 8x.. how does that happen, my 8x has more ram and power yet a low end device like that is smoother in the homepage, my 8x is not lagging or anything, its that when i put a background picture it looses it smoothness.. :eck:

A background image on the Start Screen uses up RAM. So where the 8X might be smoother is in apps or functions that require more RAM, like you said with the start screen background.

Probably because the Lumia 630 is only pushing 480X840 resolution. That is about 1/2 of the pixels the 8x and other 720x1280 res phones have to push. It is also a newer chipset.

Cyan, or Lumia firmware's in general, do help this a lot. My father went from an 8x to 925 and claims that there's a difference in how they work, in the 925's case, for the better.

ohh well,stuck with this phone for awhile now, can't wait for change in feature...

1) DP is slower than stable with firmware
2) Microsoft seriously optimized WP8.1 for multicore CPUs. That's why apps open and multitask better on the SD200/400 than on dual Core Kraits 1-1.7 GHz. Maybe they heavily parallelized everything, (then it makes sense)

It's just the way it WP works.
