How do I block a phone number?

i need to block a certain number that wont stop calling me

Tap+hold on the number in call history in the phone app / dialer and you will get the option.

If it is a private number:

1. tap on the three dots . . . at the bottom
2. tap on blocked calls
3. then advanced
4. block withheld numbers

However the this option will block all withheld numbers for calls and including auto-text alerts which do not have an associated number (i.e bank alerts).

Go to Settings > Call+SMS filter and set it up

On Lumia's you have a call+sms filter in the settings (and can do the procedure above.)

Other phones might be different, check your settings list.
