How to cancel the new 10581 update

Hi
Using windows insider app, I intended to install new technical preview of windows 10 mobile, and after passing the steps the download of version 10581 started, but I am now not interested to get the update and want to stay in 8.1 version.
The problem is that in phone update setting, the 10581 update is still active and prompts me to install that update.
I removed the windows insider app and left the insider program but the update still remains.
What should I do?

Only hard reset helps with that issue unfortunately. Reverting your phone to factory settings removes that update.

This happened me before. The only way to prevent the update is to use the windows phone recovery tool on your device

If I continue to ignore this update and the final version of windows 10 mobile comes, can I get the final update instead?
Or I should first download this update then the final one?

I understand your position and my advice is the same; use the Windows Device recovery tool and the restore your backup. However the latest build is actually the one where Windows 10 Mobile becomes usable as a daily driver. On my Lumia 920 it is at last as responsive as 8.1 and I'm now seeing what I saw in the 920 when it was new. I would say give this one a go and if you don't like it, roll back.
