How do I customize Ringtone on Lumia 530 WP8.1?

Hello,

I just bought the Lumia 530 (single sim, W8.1), and I want to change the ringtone to a custom sound. I moved the file (.mp3, ~25sec, ~500bytes) to the "Ringtones" folder in the phone. I read somewhere that I should get the tune in the list of ringtones under the heading "Custom". But unfortunately I don't see any title "Custom" or my file. :eck:
Anybody else going faced similar problem or can help sort out the problem?

Are you putting the file in the phone ringtone folder or the microSD card ringtone folder?

Is the ringtone DRM-protected? What happens if you make it shorter than 25 s?

Reduced the duration to 23 seconds, 415 Kb, not DRM-protected.
Still doesn't show up.

Could it still be too long? I'm using a custom ringtone, but it is only 13 s long.

A 2 s long tone won't show in the list either. I moved another tune to "Rintones" folder, still doesn't work.
Disappointed.

Are you using a dual sim Lumia 530 or the single sim one?

I have a Nokia Lumia 920 running Cyan plus Preview for Developers Update. I haven't had any issues with custom ringtones. However, I don't have dual SIM or microSD card on my device.

Be careful using Preview for Dev on Lumia 920. Fried the memory ic of my first one and glitched out all the time too.

I haven't had any issues on mine, and I've been using Preview for Developers since April.
