How do I disable 'FM Radio'?

Disable 'FM Radio'

I realize this may have been posted elsewhere but, has anyone found a way to disable or uninstall 'FM Radio' or maybe even disable the antenna feature that runs through the headphone wires?
If I plug my phone into an external speaker source, during quite passages there is lots of nasty frequency interference noise.
Any thoughts?

I put my phone in airplane mode when the nasty frequency starts so I could use the fm radio without all that noise.
