I have updated my desk top with no problems and have set it to sleep after an hour, however it still goes to sleep after 10 minutes. It then sits with the blue sign on screen with no account pic or sign in box for ages before going to a blue screen which flickers for a few seconds before giving me the sign in options. I have tried adjusting all the power saver options to no avail! Any ideas or is this just a bug?

Have you tried setting it to "Never" in the Power & Sleep Settings? Try setting both "On Battery power" and "When plugged in" both to "Never".

Hmm, looks like we'll have to go through some of the generic bug-fixing routines:
1. Restart your PC (fully).
2. Check for updates to your PC.
3. Check if there are third party software installed in your PC that may be issuing conflicting settings (e.g. for Samsung laptops, there is the Samsung Control Center, but that should have been uninstalled during the upgrade process - still check if there is, nonetheless).

I think I have fixed the issue by turning off the screen saver. I had not realised it was on by default. I mean you don't need screen savers anymore Thank you for your suggestions though.

Hey, thanks for the great tip! I never used screen savers in my PC so I never encountered the issue. I'm sure this piece of information will be useful to others who may encounter the same problem.
