There is no calendar displaying on my just out of the box L950 phone. How do I get my Google calendar to display?

There is no calendar displaying on my just out of the box L950 phone. How do I get my Google calendar to display?

first go to settings > email accounts > add your gmail account - when setting up the account, make sure to check that the toggle for calendar is checked
Then open up the calendar app and your google calendar should appear there

And check for OS and app updates too
