How do I get my Lumia 1520 front camera that have never worked to work?

Lumia 1520 front camera never worked

My 1520 camera doesn't work at all. Before 8.1 update, my phone used to reboot everytime i turn on front camera. After upgrade, it shuts down the camera app but doesn't reboot now. Someone on another forum mentioned it's a hardware issue. Is that so ? Anyone had different experience ? I absolutely love this phone and I am not into selfies so front camera is not of much use to me. But it bothers me that its not working.

Looks to be hardware. You may want to get it replaced in case one issues leads to others down the road.
