How do I get my USB3.0HDMI adapter to work?

how do i get it to work

i have a usb3.0hdmi adapter that i am trying to install on my laptop. i have windows 7 installed. everytime i download the drivers via the cd supplied and then restart my laptop the screen goes black and does not come on again till i go and uninstall the drivers for the device in safe mode.

Try connecting a second display to the adapter, what's most likely happening is that display is being set to display only on the adapter and not clone or extend. Have a look at the adapter's control panel before rebooting and there should be an option to extend or clone the display.
