How do I make the screen look different in stand-by mode vs OFF?

how to make screen look different in stand-by mode vs OFF

The screen looks exactly the same while on stand-by mode vs the phone being turned OFF.

Would getting a screen saver be the answer?

Are there other ways I can tell if phone is turned OFF vs being on STAND_BY?

There are no screen savers for the phone. Keeping the screen on all the time would simply run the battery down very fast.

The only way to tell if you have a phone without "glance" (you'll know if you have it), is to tap the power button. If the screen comes on immediately, it's on. If it vibrates quickly, then it was off and is about to turn on.
