How do i set IM chat status?

[Windows Central Question]

I'm using windows phone 7.5 version. But for some days now I've not been able to connect my IM chat status to AVAILABLE. Anytime I try switching it to AVAILABLE, it says "it can't connect to IM. guys, please help me connect. Thanks

It still working on my HTC 7 Mozart running Windows Phone 7.8. Can see Facebook contact online.
