how do i stop cortana from reminding me someone texted me through bluetooth speakers?

on windows 10 mobile, everytime I am listening to music through Bluetooth speaker, it cuts off whenever a friend texts me to either; ignore or read the text aloud. For some reason it only does that when I connect it to Bluetooth, but not through the phones speaker.

cortana->notebook->settings->read incoming text messages aloud

Also check the settings in DRIVING MODE for text messages.
