Stream Media From PC to an XB1 Connected to a Different Network
Howdy folks,
I'm trying to stream music through my xbox (which is hooked up to the sound system) from my PC (seeing as the xb1 has little for music options).
The problem: I'm on a college campus. XB1 is, out of necessity, connected via ethernet. PC is on wifi. As a result, when I go to add devices, the XB1 is of course not showing up.
Historically I've gotten around this by entering the xbox IP or some such; that's how I got SmartGlass to work. I have no idea why I can't seem to find that option in this case, but I can't.
Is there a way for me to pair these two (I'm already paired with youtube but that seems like an independent thing) without connecting to the same network (which is not an option - wifi isn't good enough for snob xbox)?
Input is much appreciated.
