How do I sync live hotmail without syncing my contacts?

I'm on the Omnia W with Mango update. Is there any way to do this?

Ok I just got this answer from Microsoft Answers :

if it is your primary account your wont be able to. you either sync or you dont!

If it is your secondary windows live id on your phone, simply untick contacts under email settings for that account.

Sucks. Hope MS gives an option soon.

No matter what MS does I can never be pissed with them. I just love my Windows, Microsoft and Bill gates

Yeah, think of it as a backup.

You can set its sync period to manually and just never sync it.
