How do I Sync Shared files on OneDrive?

How to Sync Shared files on OneDrive

I have files on OneDrive that are shared with other people that "can edit" the files. If those people download the files, then edit them locally, how can they then sync the updated version to OneDrive so that I can see the updates. These are not Office formatted files and all users are on Windows 10.

what I could find online was about syncing shared folders where I believe you can have the files stored
