How do you get rid of pop-ups and other unwanted junk from internet sites?

It was very easy to get rid of internet junk attached to the computer from websites on
Microsoft 7. I can't find a way to do this on the upgrade to Microsoft 10. How do I do this?

You may want to try browsers such as Opera or Firefox.
Both have adblocking features and extensions available.
