How do you video something you're holding?

All these cool WPCentral videos have me wondering how they are created? If you've got both hands on the phone? I ask because I'd like to make better knitting videos than my attempts up to now.

I got this thing a while back to use for video and still shooting.
I didn't use it a lot at first.
Lately with a better phone I'm carrying it and small tripod a lot.
Mostly use it my bike for videos.

Not inexpensive for what it is...very well made however.
What can I say I'm a gadget junkie :grin:
