How does double tap wake up work for you?

I have about half of the time I need to double tap twice to wake up the screen.

Firmware: 16236.35006
OS: 14905.100

Since I got my firmware with the feature, I don't feel the success ratio matters with each OS build. Double tap lock screen works 100%.

And there is another issue, if I take the phone out of pocket the glance screen will turn on almost instantaneously, after 1 to 1.5 seconds all the notifications on glance screen show up. Not until all notifications on glance screen are available the double tap wake never works.

I don't have that problem with my phone. Which build are you on? Have you tried toggling the double tap to wake on and off, see if that "resets" the sensitivity?

I don't have any real problem with DDTW, but you might try tapping more slowly. I've found if the taps are too close together it takes an additional attempt to wake the phone. It took me awhile to figure this out, but now I don't see it anymore as I've trained my tap.

Retail, not Insider.

Mixed bag. Sometimes it works flawlessly. Others, I bang on the thing out of frustration.

Do like the double tap to shut off though. Works every time.

I updated my post with more info. The on/off switch does not seem to help.

My DTTW works fairly well but DT to turn screen off works 100% of the time. Weird. You'd think they would have the same accuracy.

I have to hit the screen like 10 times for it to activate the screen. Doesn't work like it does on LG phones.

I really like the double tap feature on my Lumia 640. But sadly, the Lumia 650 is lacking the double tap to sleep function.

Seems to work fine for me. Just to be sure, you can tap once so the screen is no 'listening' and then tap twice to wake :)

I find DTTW quicker and more accurate on my 950 XL than it was on my 1020.

I think the speed of the double tap can be an issue if you do it to fast or too slow.

I have to double tap quickly, but even then, it doesn't come on. I do have a launch day 950 XL though

I sometimes have issues with DDTW on my 650. A little earlier today I had to keep tapping the screen and it wouldn't come on. A little annoying but for the most part it works just fine.
My experience with DDTS is like many others here. It works perfectly every time.
