How does the Lumia 830 Camera Compare to the 1020?

I absolutely love the camera on my Lumia 1020. I need to upgrade some other phones for other family members and maybe even upgrade my 1020, but I am afraid a new phone like the 830 wont have a camera that compares. Other than megapixels, they look similar. Can anyone provide any experience?

The phone just got announced, the tech journalists are barely getting their articles on the various websites and mostly people have perhaps 15 minutes of hands-on time with the device. How can you think that there will be a detailed side by side comparison with the 41MP Lumia 1020 and the 10MP Lumia 830 already out? Have a little patience....

I dont think it will stand up to a one on one comparison, even with its 5MP shots the 1020 is working with a lot more data. But the 830 will probably be good enough that you wont notice or care without doing a direct comparison. Definitely worth waiting for some reviews though, from allaboutwindowsphone or dpreview in particular who do the best photography reviews.

lumia 830's camera has a smaller sensor and less megapixels. Lumia 1020 wins by a lot!
And.. if you like numbers.. here some!

Lumia 830:
MP: 10
Sensor size: 1/3.4 inch
Camera aperture: f/2.2

Lumia 1020:
MP: 41
Sensor size: 1/1.5 inch
Camera aperture: f/2.2

​Same aperture, but 1020 wins in MP and sensor size
