How does this guy keep the battery bar viewable all the time?

could it be because his battery is almost dead, and it remains visible as a reminder to charge it up?

hey..ok so he replied...this is what he said:

"The batter bar shows itself when you need to think about charging it. It's all about keeping unnecessary information off the screen until it is needed"

His battery was critically low which is why it appeared on top
