How hard is the screen/display?

Today I was moving some stuff in a shelf. My Lumia 950 was laying face up on that shelf. One of the ornaments, a medium size dish/plate (one of those dishes made of china that have an inscription that you buy in souvenir stores and that have a support on the back to keep them standing on the shelf), that ornament fell over the Lumia (imagine that you grab your empty plate when you are having dinner, place it in vertical position and let it fall face down onto your Lumia 950 which is face up).
The rim/edge of the plate hit the middle of the display. Fortunately, the screen/display is ok. I don't see any scratches, and obviously it didn't shatter. The only thing that looks leveled down a bit is 2 mm of the rim of the display (don't know what material that is, if you happen to know what material is the one that surrounds your display, please let me know). Maybe that was already there from before, cannot say if the dish did that.
Anyway, even though I don't see any damages, should I be worried that anything could have been damaged in the inside because of the shock? I've been very careful from the day I bought it, and now that this has happened I am very worried, even though it looks ok from the outside.

Have you dropped your phone or had worse accidents than mine and your phone is ok?

Its pretty tough I think, mine's fallen out of my pocket onto tile before. Like yours the only mark was on the trim ring piece around the screen.
