How is it that no Microsoft app has transparency still?

Lets say we have another month for the consumer release of WP8.1 Yet a lot of WP8.1's apps do not support transparency?

Skype, OneNote, Office, OneDrive, Office Lens, Xbox Music, Facebook ...

Shouldn't they get these ready by now?

No, they should all support it and leave the choice to the user. I loves me some transparency. :)

Well, technically there are some. Sure they come with the OS, but they are MS Apps. Like Maps, it has transparency. Reading List also has it.

If transparency is all that you want you can always install an app that will give you empty/fake transparent tiles to play with.

Why would it be "all that I want"? I want a functional live transparent tile. The third party ones I tried for News and Sports were not live.

Not all apps are going to/should support transparency. Variety is nice.

Variety being nice is exactly the reason that all apps SHOULD offer a transparent tile, in addition to (not necessarily instead of) a non-transparent one.

Transparent tile option on WP8.1 should be the same as flat design guidelines on iOS7.

In a perfect world anyway.
