How long is your Homescreen?

I always wondered how many tiles other people put on their frontpage.

Myself, I can only handle two screens worth of icons. That way I only need to swipe all the way up or down, and never miss any tiles in the middle.

Also, the tiles must form a pleasant irregular grid of big and small tiles, and while there shouldn't be too much custom colored tiles present at once, a delicate balance is required.

How do you manage your Startscreen?

I usually group my apps in folder , weather,WPC are large tiles on my lumia 920. I don't even have to scroll

Mine is about 4 display heights. I like to have a mixture of regularly used apps and some that could come in handy. I only use a few additional tiles for specific WhatsApp or People groups, the rest are just the normal app (live) tiles. I do tile grouping only with small tiles, but with black background, so they visually stand out.



I find 4 screen heights on my 8X to be comfortably scrollable with just on flick. If native folder support is coming to all WP8 devices, I might use it for collecting more detail live tiles ...

PS: My Start screen doesn't show the 3rd column, as I then find the small tiles too minuscule.

10 medium tiles, so about two screens on my 920 when I'm using the three column option.

Probably more in the two column mode.

Yeah, it's a toggle in Start+Theme, been there since the DP's been out, and I've been using it ever since.
