How much battery life do you get on your 520 ?

i have bought lumia 520 two days back... its battery timing is very poor... 3-5% drops every hour unlike what is said in specification.... whats the problem??? i need replies guys??? Help me out

Check your background tasks and disable the ones that aren't REALLY needed.
Then switch brightness to low, disable data connection, disable BT, switch mail check to less frequent (1 hour or 2hours), screen time-out set to lower setting, disable Wifi-scan, turn OFF Xbox live connection.

If you want to be picky, here are all the important ones, but the above mentioned should make a difference already :

Grtz.

3.16%/Hour is equivalent to 1 Day, 7 Hrs, 38 Mins and 44 Secs of Standby with 3G on if I suppose? Now If I may suggest you a key, when you work on any app and then close it by pressing the Windows Key that app is running in the background. I can vouch for its standby with 3G on and running apps closed by long pressing <- and exiting all apps by clicking on X. That ways my NL520 drained only 7% in 7 hrs Remaining Battery Life 93% & Time since last charge: 7 hrs. The % you say is shown in Battery Pro + developed by Nokia itself. the % is average of last 48 hours usage. So Don't fret my friend; closing all the apps by X does not close them rather like OperaMini the tabs and status are in standby mode. They will continue from where you left off. And also you cannot open more than 6 Tabs at once thus saving resources in WP8 Black.

My Battery experiecne with L520 is as below:
3g on, lockscreen times out 30 Sec, brightness control set to low(with Automatic Adjust-On), battery saver on(Conserve Until Next Charge), display - sunlight readability On, - battery saver brightness On, lumia colour profile is Neutral, touch sensitivity Normal and double tap as well as WM keys vibrate set at OFF.
Day 1 - Charged 100% at 10:00 am
Calls 75 mins(Volume 5/10) (approx), Messaging (5-6), Nokia Music(on Loudspeaker) 1hr 20mins, Internet 30 mins, Games 20-25mins
Day 2 - @ 10:00 am Battery at 42%
Calls 45 mins(Volume 5/10), Messaging (3), Nokia Music(on Loudspeaker) 60mins, Internet 10 mins, Games 18-20 mins. It died out at 11:15 pm (approx). Extracted the most juice out of it.

So proud to say that I have extracted almost 37 hrs from my NL520 - Impressed with the standby battery conservation.

PLEASE NOTE that I've not installed WhatsApp on my NL520 as it constantly seeks Internet Sync. Though I have 3 email IDs set-up syncing at manual interval

6-7 hours on low brightness and vibration off on buttons. WiFi on,continuous internet use and occasional gaming. But if my phone was at 70% at night then it is 69-70% in the morning. Touch to tap is on and touch sensitivity is normal. Backup is same when touch to tap is off. So can't blame that.

I always charge my phone overnight so my battery in the morning is always 100%,i use it for messaging, gaming for total +/- 2 hours and mediocre internet usage, till night the battery is almost empty. Not really pleased with battery life but that's what you get for a cheap nokia :)

Hi! Quick question: I've just bought a lumia 520, very satisfied with the device, average to good battery life, but I wonder, is it normal to lose between 4 and 8 percent overnight (not plugged in obviously), with 3g wifi and background apps turned off?

4 to 8 % over a period of 8 hours is completely normal. My drain rate usually under normal usage is 5% per hour.

I get about 15 hrs, with wifi on for 12 hrs & usage is restricted to messaging apps like messenger, whatsapp & hike with about an hour of travel time spent on music & little bit of browsing, mostly just mobile nation sites & a few occasional links.

I do a lot of web browsing and my battery drop to about 50% in around 4 hours. So I'm guessing 8 hours. I always charge it to 100% when I hit 40%

How long does it take everyones phone to charge? I takes a little over an hour to charge my phone from 40% to 100% The charger always feel warm. Is this normal?

I have almost everything disabled and no live tiles. I went to bed at 100% and got up 7 hours later and it was at 86%, that seems like a lot of use for a month old new phone that is doing nothing while I sleep. Well I guess it must be doing something, I don't know what.
