How to block a contact and messages?

Hey, i am using lumia 640xl with win 10 insider.. I want to about blocking of calls and messages in it.. And also unblocking it...

To block a call: go to Phone, then tap on hold on any of the contacts who has already called you - you should see "Block contact".

To block a message: repeat the same steps as done in "Phone".

When i tap block a contact the screen disappears.. I have also downloaded block and filter app of microsoft, the installed app were in settings > extras > call+sms filter, but when i open it says "cant open the filter at the moment. Please try again later or restart device."

Have you restarted your device then? Or performed a soft reset by pressing the power button and volume button down until your phone reboots?

Updated to lates version 10.0.10586.29 of win 10 lumia but nothing happen.. Why this update whats change in it. I think Microsoft facing problems with its OS and could not handle it compare to other platforms...

today Phone app was updated: check if long tap -> block number works

About whic update do you talking about? The one i m using or some new update is available? If yes, then i have now checked update but yet there is no any new update... Hope to hear from you

The APP Phone has updates 2 days ago, check in Store -> My downloads -> Check

No brother my phone had the second update recently but could find working position of block smsm and contacts
