How to completely migrate a user from one system to another

I am wondering, what tool I should use, if I upgrade a PC from Windows 10 to 11, to transfer the entire user experience from older system to the newer one. This should include all the app preferences and OS environment customizations to the extent possible. Is there a utility for that?

I come from the macOS world, where Migration Assistant has done that job spectacularly well for many years now. That’s my benchmark. I am hoping for something similar in the Windows world.

Thanks, Interlocutor! However, it looks like the Windows 11 Installation Assistant doesn’t help, if I want to transfer a user from one piece of hardware to another. Or, if I want to migrate a user from a PC to a Windows VM. In those cases, what do I do?

Ok, for this you need third party software like,

1. EaseUS Todo PCTrans,
2. Laplink PCMover Professional
3. Macrium Reflect

I personally prefer "EaseUS" because used it many times with no issues.

Windows 10 and 11 have a built-in tool called "Windows Easy Transfer" that can help you transfer your user experience from an old PC to a new one, including app preferences and OS environment customizations. However, this tool is no longer actively supported by Microsoft, so it may not work as well as Migration Assistant on macOS.

I am grateful, Interlocutor. Moving users between devices seems to be an issue with the Windows 11 Installation Assistant. Also, in the event that I need to transfer a user's data from a physical computer to a Windows virtual machine. In those cases, what do I do?
