How to get back squared contact tiles?

I dont get it either. Everything is based off of squares and rectangles. Now you throw this in and it just looks out of place. I think they need to hire some one different in terms of making artistic and aesthetic decisions, because up to now it has been spot on. Now it seems like throwing crap against a wall and seeing what sticks.

W10M also has rounded toggles ripped off from iOS, a "dark" theme that is more of a weak gray, animations that looks like the ones in Android from 2011 and a design language that took the worst elements from other mobile UIs and looks like it was slapped together in 5 minutes. Oh, and it also has a shaky future, a ton of bugs and runs like crap on a lot of devices.

Other than that it's fine.

Hello,

I wrote an app called "Square People Tiles" which does just that - put square contact tiles on your start screen. Of course it is not a native integration, so it is possibly a bit slower than without the app - but on modern phones you should not notice the difference.
If there is interest in the app I will improve it by adding more customization possibilities on how the tile looks and a replacement for the "People Hub" or "Contacts" tile as well.
