Can someone help me to hard reset Nokia Lumia 525 having upgraded to Windows Phone 8.1 developer's preview.

Note: Need help on hard resetting device through button method.

I believe you go to settings; about and use the reset your phone at the bottom. I hope this is correct for the 525.

It is correct for ALL WP based phones. There is no difference between this method or the key combination. Use the easy way.

But here you go:

Hard Reset –

Press and hold Volume Down + Power + Camera buttons simultaneously – after a few seconds phone will vibrate – release the power button but continue pressing the power down and camera buttons for a few more seconds until the boot/formatting screen is shown – now release the keys and wait for the process to finish.

I use power phone off hold down the volume down, while holding volume down plug in charger it vibrates then will go to load the load the phone it will then show a sign like this ! appear then press volume up volume down and then the power button.

Google 'Lumia 525 Service manual' - last couple of pages will have what U want

As he said it 'hasn't worked', I suspect that he meant revert back to WP8....
Find a ROM for your 525 and flash that.....

I see that 8.1 DP -> 8 hard reset can be worked out with Nokia software updater only. You can see the article posted over last weekend on WPC.

If you want to roll back to 8. You need to download Nokia recovery tool, hook up to PC load the software it will say can install blar blar the screen will get a massive White Nokia logo then it will go red with a blue line going across then it will restart and get cogs then restarts and you are back to 8.
