How to sign out from Windows Live?

I just borrowed from my school, one of the Lumias 710, to develop apps for my projects.
I've been playing with this phone for a while, and I just realized one of my problems:
How to sign out (log off?) from Windows Live account? It synchronized lots of my personal data (which normally would be awesome!) but, when I'll finally return this phone, everything would be still there...

I searched for an answer for that and someone suggested to bring back phone to factory settings. Thats not so bad, but I am not sure if this will mess up something else, like - I don't know - developer registration?

The only way to disconnect or change the account tied to a device is to reset the phone.

I'm assuming by resetting the phone you lose all data currently on the device, so you'd have to perform a backup to Zune??
