How to speed up scrolling / swiping speed on Nokia Lumia 520?

Hello,

I have searched the internet and the forum extensively but I couldn't figure this one out:

I bought a Nokia Lumia 520. I have the latest updates already. Scrolling or swiping speed is extremely slow and I can't seem to find where to adjust it. (It was ever this slow.) On my android (Sony Xperia Ion, Android 4.1.1.) scrolling/swiping is at normal speed but even that can be adjusted in the settings. Here I have gone through everything carefully, even searched apps in the app store. It takes years to get to the end of the app list and ages to get to the end of the contact list. The only solution that I am aware of is swiping my fingers off...

No there is no option.

But when you have +45 apps installed, you see letters like in the contact list. And you can click on these letters to jump through the list...

You cant speed up the swiping, but you can just press a letter to bring up the quick jump menu instead of scrolling.
