How to Sync Gmail Contacts - Export from Phone

When I had an iPhone and added a new contact or changed contact details, I was able to view those changes on my PC in Gmail. Is there a way to do this on my Lumia 928?
When I add new contacts, I do not even see changes in Outlook.com contacts?

I can't answer the questions about Gmail contacts, as I don't use Gmail myself, but if you are adding or amending contacts on your Lumia phone, then you should see these changes appear within 'People' (your Contacts) in Outlook.com.

If they are not syncing with People in Outlook.com, then you may not have the phone setup to sync all of the time. Go into Settings, then 'email+accounts'. Then tap on your Microsoft Account. You'll see the heading 'Download new content' with a drop down box. Make sure this is set to "as items arrive". Your contacts (and Calendar if you use it) should then sync pretty much immediately with your Outlook.com contacts.

Thank You! OK, this solves contacts syncing to Outlook. I had it set to manual and just had to refresh browser. I am hoping someone has Gmail ansswer.

In the meantime, would you know of the best calendar app to have on my Lumia phone. I want to sync my added appt's from Outlook on my laptop to my phone? and, vice versa.

No probs With the calendar on your laptop, are you using Outlook (as in part of Office) or Outlook.com in your web browser, or the Windows 8 Calendar app?

If you are using the calendar associated with Outlook.com, which includes the Windows 8 calendar app, then this is what I do and I just use the built in calendar on Windows Phone. This will sync straight to the calendar on Outlook.com and the Windows 8.1 Calendar app, if you are using that. Now that you have your phone setup to sync with any new items on your Microsoft Account, it should update the calendar on both the phone and Outlook.com whenever you make a change on either one.
